Mad Nice is a standout in Detroit. Beautiful interior, great vibe, and excellent food. We had the octopus, gem salad, Guanciale pizza, and duck pastrami cavatelli, and everything was delicious. The pizza had a perfect balance of savory and nutty flavors with a light, crispy crust, and the duck pasta was rich and satisfying. They also have a coffee shop and a private dining room, which makes the space incredibly versatile — perfect for anything from a casual coffee to a group celebration. Friendly service and a memorable experience overall. Highly recommend.

Just like its name, this place IS Mad Nice. It was my first time visiting and I will be back! The menu was fantastic, the servers were great regarding allergies and modifications, and the company I was with was pretty cool too. We started with oysters, beef tartare, and a few beverages before we moved onto our main courses. Highly recommend getting reservations. Especially, on weekends. The side room doubles as an event space and worth checking out if you’re looking for a place to host your family, friends, or celebrate.

The food was incredible. We had an awesome server named Bailey that suggested several items that we chose. He was so attentive and knowledgeable. The short ribs, octopus, and duck pasta were delicious as was the drink. We will definitely be back to try the pizza. Thank you Mad Nice for a wonderful birthday celebration.

Top notch in every way! We visited the place for a birthday celebration. Our host Angel was fantastic- knowledgeable, friendly, and her recommendations (from drinks to salad and pizza) were spot-on. The food was delicious, the vibe was great. We’ll definitely be back!

When I think about an aesthetically pleasing and culinary rich dining experience, Mad Nice hits all the details of a beautiful restaurant experience in the heart of mid-town! Whether you enjoy a delicious craft cocktail and Neapolitan-style pizza before a game or concert at LCA, or indulge in a more formal plate, you are immersed in a cultural blend of Italian flavors, glowing California vibes, and Detroit soul! For dinner we shared the rigatoni ragout and margherita pizza. The ragout was OUT of this world, and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite- MAD GOOD sauce! The pizza was tasty and I enjoyed the sauce. We both felt it was a tad salty but appreciated the puffy dough edges and thin, crispy center that held the toppings. I loved the old-school touch of sheers to cut your slices how you like! We couldn't decide on just one dessert so we got 2! The chocolate cake was good, but the gelato tower can't be beat! YES, it's a tower and meant for sharing, but their creamy, luxurious gelato is made from a machine imported from Italy, topped with candied pistachios and shaved chocolate and a decadent treat. Emily took wonderful care of us throughout the whole experience. She was the perfect balance of welcoming and helpful with menu suggestions and you could feel her passion for her workplace. This was a very anticipated spot on my list and I leave this review salivating over the rigatoni ragout and the gelato tower. I cannot wait to return!
